Meet Monica Golla

The Woodlands PM Therapist - MA, LCDC

Monica is a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with over 15 years of experience working with those with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Monica brings the unique perspective of having experience with the full continuum of substance abuse care – residential treatment programs, and intensive outpatient settings, detoxification settings, telehealth, coaching, and transitional living. Monica has extensive training in relapse prevention and is a certified relapse-prevention specialist. Monica holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services/Addiction Medicine concentration, from Springfield College, and a Master of Arts in Clinical mental Health Counseling from the Houston Christian University. She is currently pursuing her LPC. 

Additionally, since gaining her own recovery, Monica has been an active volunteer in the recovery community of Houston. She has served on the Board of Directors for STAR Drug court in Harris County, as well as providing education on adolescent substance abuse to local schools. Monica is passionate about helping others rebuild their lives, overcoming the devastation that addiction brings. 

Monica loves animals and is especially fond of her maltipoo Charlie Jo. She is an advocate of Golden Retriever rescue and will take any opportunity she can to help an animal in need. She loves to read spiritual and self-help books and is an avid traveler.
