Meet Monica Golla
The Woodlands PM Therapist - BS, LCDC
Monica is a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with over 12 years of experience working with those with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Monica brings the unique perspective of having experience with the full continuum of substance abuse care – residential treatment programs, and intensive outpatient settings, detoxification settings, telehealth, coaching, and transitional living. Monica has extensive training in relapse prevention and is a certified relapse-prevention specialist. Monica holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services/Addiction Medicine concentration, from Springfield College. She is currently a graduate student at Houston Baptist University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. Monica is working towards obtaining her LPC-A.
Additionally, since gaining her own recovery, Monica has been an active volunteer in the recovery community of Houston. She has served on the Board of Directors for STAR Drug court in Harris County, as well as providing education on adolescent substance abuse to local schools. Monica is passionate about helping others rebuild their lives, overcoming the devastation that addiction brings.
Monica loves animals, she is especially fond of her poodle Teddy. She is an advocate of Golden Retriever rescue and will take any opportunity she can to help an animal in need. She loves to read spiritual and self-help books and is an avid traveler.
