Deanna Mehaffey, MA, LPC-Associate, under the clinical supervision of Kathleen Wallace, PhD.

Deanna brings a comprehensive educational background and a dedicated focus on addiction and trauma to her clinical practice. She holds an Associate of Arts, an Associate of Science, a Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling.

Since entering the addiction field in 2017, Deanna has continuously expanded her expertise, incorporating advanced trauma training to better support clients experiencing complex, co-occurring challenges.

In addition to her clinical work, Deanna is an active contributor to professional research and scholarly presentations, including:

  • American Society of Addiction Medicine (2022): Co-authored “Right Treatment Right Time: ED MOUD in a Single Safety-Net Hospital Setting” for the 53rd Annual Conference.
  • Association of Substance Abuse Programs (2023): Panel presenter at the Texas State Conference.
  • Research & Quality Symposium (2024): Co-author on two research posters evaluating co-occurring disorders and barriers to care within emergency department settings.
