Meet ALLISON ANDERSON
Intake Specialist, LCDC, LPC-Intern Supervised by Cristal Clark, LPC-S
Allison is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) and Licensed Professional Counselor Intern (LPC-Intern) under the supervision of Cristal Clark, LPC-Supervisor. Allison received her Bachelors of Art Degree in Psychology and her Masters of Science in Counseling from the University of North Texas. She was also a member of Psi Chi (International Honor Society in Psychology) and Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society) throughout her education. Allison is currently a Board Member for the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals and has published articles on addiction recovery and the relationship between nutrition and mental health.
Allison has worked with adults struggling with substance abuse disorders and process addictions for the past 7 years, in residential, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings. Although trained in DBT, she draws from a variety of approaches depending on each client’s unique needs, treating the entire self: body, thoughts, emotions, relationships, and creativity. She has developed a special interest in addressing co-occurring disorders, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. During her free time, you will find her enjoying quality time with her husband and two children, vegetable gardening, playing with her 8 pet chickens, or channeling her idol Martha Stewart while working on a DIY project.
