Meet Robert “Bob” Morrison
South Texas Clinical Director – LMFT
Robert “Bob” Morrison is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and ARC’s Clinical Director in South Texas. Bob holds two master’s degrees in clinical counseling and has over 20 years of experience in mental and behavioral health with an emphasis on addiction.
Early in his career, Bob worked with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation where he developed and supervised treatment of teenagers struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. For the last 15 years prior to joining ARC, Bob worked as a Therapist, Clinical Program Manager, and Regional Practice Specialist for Kaiser Permanente focused on mental health and addiction treatment through individual and group therapy.
Bob has extensive experience in Crises and Traumatic Events with training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Additionally, Bob has extensive training as an Improvement Advisor (Advanced IA), Rapid Improvement Models (RIM), SMART Goals, Run/Control Charts and Story Boards. Administratively, Bob is trained in Interest-Based Problem Solving (IBPS) and in Unit Based Team Member (UBTM) process. Strengthening life-styles that build self-respect, strength-based awareness, gratitude, and acceptance are common core foundational components Bob targets his treatment on.
Bob holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Biblical Counseling from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and a Master of Arts (MA) in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University in Fullerton, California.
