Meet Dustin Breshears

Dustin Breshears is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate), supervised by Gina Gabriano, LPC-S. Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Dustin received his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Dustin found his passion during his recovery journey, he realized that the void we are trying to fill due to past trauma, pain, and hurt can be healed, but we must do something different. We must begin participating in our world and allow someone to walk with us.

Dustin has an eclectic blend of humanistic approaches that utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. But at the heart, Dustin believes the most important tool is the therapeutic relationship that will allow for healing and perspective change of the narrative in the client’s story. Carl Rogers said, “First we accept ourselves, then we change.” Dustin wants to create an authentic, genuine, and safe place for all.

Before working with Arise Recovery Centers, Dustin gained experience working with inmates preparing them for release, at a domestic violence shelter, and a crisis center.
