Lawrence Spain is a dedicated recovery professional and the Business Development Representative for Arise Recovery Centers, serving the Austin region. In this role, he helps individuals and families access high-quality outpatient treatment for substance use and mental health disorders, working closely with clinical teams, community partners, and referral sources to bridge the gap between care and connection.
Lawrence’s path into the field began in 2018 after the heartbreaking loss of a loved one to addiction and mental illness. That pivotal experience inspired him to dedicate his life to supporting others on their recovery journeys. He went on to establish Spain Sober Living, a structured sober living program for men in Austin, which now includes two homes for individuals in early recovery.
Outside of his work with Arise, Lawrence also serves as Vice President of the Austin Chapter of the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals (TAAP). He previously held the role of Diversity and Inclusion Chair, where he worked to ensure all voices and backgrounds are represented within the recovery space.
Whether through his work at Arise, his sober living homes, or his advocacy through TAAP, Lawrence leads with compassion, authenticity, and a deep commitment to helping others find healing and long-term recovery.
