LaShekia Scott is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist-Associate and Licensed Chemical Dependency – I under the supervision of Dr. Corey Allan, LMFT-S.  LaShekia is a U.S. Navy veteran’s wife and ordained minister. Her educational background includes a degree of Post Masters MA in General Family Therapy, MA in Human Services: Marriage & Family Counseling at Liberty University.  LaShekia has over 12 years of training and experience in counseling with individuals, couples, children/teens, and their families. She walks alongside her clients as she counsels, empowers, and supports them as they improve their relationships and transform their lives for the better.  She is a zealous and empathetic therapist with a deep understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. LaShekia’s areas of specialty is leading clients through healing and recovery; clients diagnosed and struggling with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, self-injurious behavior (self-harm), eating disorders, mental health disorders, such as PTSD, Bipolar Depression, Borderline Personality, General Anxiety, Major Depressive, Bereavement, Psychosis symptoms as well as assisting clients with interpersonal couple issues and familial concerns are supported utilizing unconditional positive regard, person-centered approach, and techniques to accommodate individualized plans.  LaShekia’s clinical experience, kind-heartedness, and responsiveness support and assist those willing to make an optimistic transformation in their lives.  It is imperative to provide her clients have a safe and supportive haven to work alongside each other to overcome traumas, and barriers. Her counseling approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with family, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

LaShekia is a native of Huntsville, Texas and she resides in the Tomball area with her family.
