Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Alcohol Addiction
We pride ourselves on providing a unique and truly personalized Outpatient Alcohol Rehab experience for our clients. The IOP Program at our Outpatient Alcohol Rehabs allows our clients to receive the Alcohol Addiction Treatment that they need locally in a comfortable, confidential setting.
Our IOP Groups usually have 8-12 people, and we meet 3 times per week for 3 hours each session. These sessions are offered both during the day and the evening. During our IOP sessions, our clients will be introduced to various evidence-based treatment methods, including but not limited to, DBT, CBT, Experiential, 12 steps, relapse prevention, and life skills.
Our Outpatient Alcohol Rehab clients will also meet with their therapist for 1 hour each week. The total programming for our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is 10 hours per week. The average length of our IOP is 8 weeks.
Let Arise Recovery Centers help you find the appropriate level of care!
Outpatient Treatment is much lower cost than inpatient residential treatment, and our Outpatient Alcohol Rehab is a great option for clients as they can learn how to stay sober in a real-life setting. If our client may need to detox or have a medical withdrawal, we work with many hospitals and detox facilities that can safely get the individual through the withdrawal phase.
Outpatient Alcohol Addiction Treatment isn’t for everyone though. Some individuals need to go to an inpatient treatment center. We will be able to address these concerns during the initial assessment and help make sure we find the appropriate level of care and fit for each individual. Call Arise Recovery Centers now at 888-339-2747 or submit a form to start the road to recovery!

Individual Therapy during Outpatient Alcohol Rehab
Arise Recovery Centers offer one-on-one counseling, which allows an individual the freedom and safety to talk to a licensed counselor in a private setting. Though group therapy and self-help meetings are crucial aspects of Alcohol Addiction Treatment for many people, they don’t always offer the individual attention you need during recovery.
Our Outpatient Alcohol Rehabs offer individual counseling sessions with our master’s level therapists every week. During these counseling sessions, the patient meets with his or her Alcohol Addiction counselor to work together to discuss specific problems and concerns, define personal goals, and address issues that need to be worked through. We invite patients to come visit one of our Outpatient Alcohol Rehabs in Texas to learn more about our individual counseling services.
Individual Addiction Therapy Details
Our program includes at least 1 hour of individual therapy per week. This is a time when you will meet with a master’s level clinician to do some more in-depth and private therapy. Our patients find this intimate time with their Arise Recovery Centers counselor hugely beneficial as it allows them to express themselves with a trusted source.
At Arise Recovery Centers, one-on-one sessions with our master’s level clinicians can be so helpful during addiction treatment because:
- They give you a place to work on emotional or psychological problems that are too sensitive or difficult to discuss in groups
- They give you more time to address motivational issues that can stand between you and sobriety
- They can support and build on the work you do in groups to help you stay committed to treatment
- They can help define roadblocks, help develop a plan of action, and set realistic, attainable personal goals
What Can I Expect During Individual Therapy?
The private counseling rooms at the Arise Recovery Centers in Texas are quaint, warm, and inviting. Our goal is that every patient feels comfortable and at home regardless of where they are in their personal journey towards sobriety. Patients often tell us that after each individual therapy session, they feel stronger and more positive. This is important because with each private therapy session, our patients feel encouraged to move closer to their goals.
The therapists at Arise Recovery Centers do an excellent job of diving in right in the beginning of your personal journey to establish goals. We move at your pace, but through various treatment modalities we are able to help you gain clarity, strength, and motivation to carry what you learn in therapy into your everyday life.
Who Can Benefit from Individual Therapy?
Arise Recovery Centers offer Texas residents a place to find their sobriety. While we offer both individual and group therapy, we believe there is a time and place for both. Just about anyone can benefit from an individualized counseling session. No problem is too big or too small for our therapists to address. Patients who find themselves in desperate situations, feeling as if spiraling out of control, or who have thoughts of harming themselves can call our office to meet with a private counselor.
Those who are further along in their journey may also benefit from group sessions, which can be extremely beneficial in the recovery process. Learning how to recognize, address, and control your behaviors in solo therapy, and then listening to others and having the capacity to express yourself in a group setting can offer a blend of effective and successful strategies.
What Is The Next Step?

Our initial therapy session will include a discovery process where we get to know you and vice versa. We will assess your needs and work together to make a treatment plan that is balanced, effective, and full of hope. The support will be there even when you are not in session. Group Therapy During Our Outpatient Alcohol Rehab
We offer numerous Outpatient Alcohol Rehab Services depending on what the client’s needs are. Many of our clients prefer and do well in a group setting, which is a counseling group that generally includes 8 or more people. This is why we schedule group sessions every week, 3 nights a week from 6 – 9 PM.
During group therapy, you will find a unique blend of Alcohol Addiction Treatment Modalities with evidence-based practices, experiential workshops, 12-step support, spiritual development, and life skills. Men and women of all walks of life benefit from group therapy and come to Arise Recovery Centers to become a part of our IOP Groups. We invite you to hear some of our client’s stories of how group therapy helped them reach new levels as they progressed toward a life of sobriety.
Group Addiction Therapy Details
At Arise Recovery Centers, our group sessions are led by master’s level therapists. Being able to interact with other individuals who are struggling with some of the same issues can be quite helpful for those in early recovery.
Group therapy also helps individuals realize that they are not alone and allows them to share information and experiences with one another, boosting confidence and self-esteem. Overall, sharing experiences and feelings has been proven to reduce stress, guilt, and pain among individuals in group therapy.
What Are The Benefits of Group Therapy?
There are many benefits in attending a group therapy counseling session at one of our Arise Recovery Centers locations. For one, it allows you the opportunity to listen to other stories and participate in the group setting. It is a good feeling for our patients to know they are safe to share their personal journey in a setting that holds no judgment, bias, or negative responses.
Many group members will strike a chord with you on a deeper level and allow you to discuss problems you are facing in your own life. You will also meet new people from the area since patients from all over Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and the surrounding communities come to Arise Recovery Centers for our outstanding group sessions. It is normal to feel a bit of anxiety or to have fear about expressing yourself in front of others, but our patients quickly learn that the warm environment offered at Arise Recovery Centers allows them to embrace the group setting and become comfortable to interact.
Group vs Individual Therapy - What Is The Difference?
Most patients that come to Arise Recovery Centers will meet with a personal therapist or counselor; usually in this process, group therapy may be recommended. Your counselor may feel that connecting with other individuals will help you grow and evolve in therapy, allowing you to break through some fears by being surrounded by others.
Group therapy does not take the place of individual counseling, nor is it considered second rate. It is a successful, viable, popular form of treatment that brings individuals together from all over to help address common concerns. Blended with personal therapy and at-home assignments, patients find themselves quickly progressing in a positive direction toward healing.
What Is The Next Step?
We invite you to call our Texas treatment center to learn more about Arise Recovery Centers and how we can help you find your way towards sobriety. Our group sessions offer an abundance of positive healing and reinforcement and allow you the rare opportunity to share your experience with others like yourself.
Family Counseling During Our Outpatient Alcohol Rehab
Arise Recovery Centers believe that integrating your family and loved ones into your addiction recovery is vital. This is why we educate the family on the disease of addiction and discuss the different ways that family members are affected. During your IOP Program, we will have 1-2 days where family members or loved ones are invited to attend so they can be made aware of your progress and also learn steps necessary for them to assist you in long term recovery when you leave our Outpatient Alcohol Rehab.
Addiction is often called “a family disease” for good reason. Your family is in pain. Your family has been hurt and may also have caused a lot of the pain. At Arise Recovery Centers, we help in setting healthy boundaries and rebuilding trusting relationships. Click here to learn about our new Family Program!
