Shaleese Rockett is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Park University and a Master’s in Social Work from The University of Missouri-Kansas City. During her Master’s Capstone Project, Shaleese developed a pilot program that studied the effects of trauma and depression in women that was ultimately granted funding through Kansas City Mental Health Levy that continues to currently serve women’s groups in Kansas City. From her research, Shaleese co-founded a 501C3 non-profit program centered around creative & somatic therapy and increased trauma sessions that is currently thriving in Fort Worth, Texas.
Shaleese has extensive experience treating clients from a myriad of behavior and environmental factors – substance abuse, re-entry, incarceration, homeless, mental health, domestic violence, trafficked, elderly and Child Protective Services. Shaleese has a passion to assist others with a healthier future and continues to participate in specialized training and education through Trauma Support Services of North Texas,National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Member (NAACP), and Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention. Shaleese is dedicated to creating customized programming for clients that is rooted in compassion, empathy, and empowerment.
