About Rebecca Perez

Rebecca received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon in 1995 and has a B.S. degree cum laude in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Dr. Felicia Powell-Williams and is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Trained.
Her passion is helping clients heal from the ravages of addiction and trauma. Rebecca believes in freedom from emotional pain. She helps her clients explore the coping skills that no longer work, so they can move towards new beliefs and actions that foster a healthy emotional life. She is honored to assist clients on this therapeutic journey while creating a safe, non-judgmental place for the healing to begin.
In her university work, she trained to help veterans with PTSD. She uses various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy or DBT and EMDR to facilitate the most growth for her clients. Rebecca understands that beliefs about ourselves stemming from our past can have an enormous effect on how well we function in the present. Changing the narrative can have a vital impact resulting in positive change. Rebecca is with her clients each step of the way.
