Meet Cherrelle Reed

Cherrelle obtained her Bachelors degree from New Mexico State University, Master degree in criminal justice from Purdue University & Master degree in Social Work from Capella University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker and licensed chemical Dependency counselor intern.
She has worked in the social work and human services field for 8 years. She has worked in various social work settings from child welfare, in-home services, federal qualified health center to outpatient substance abuse treatment. She has a passion for clients navigate through their trauma.
Initially, she began in the human services field thinking she was going to work with juveniles. When she started working with incarcerated youth in 2014, she began learning about the social issues that many individuals deal with. When the discovery started, it let her down a path that was a seed for social work. During her time in the field, she have learned that we never know what we may encounter in life but, it is how we recover. As a social worker, she has the ability to help individuals recover, grow and become empowered despite their situation. Her motto is that, “I was not looking for social work but, social work found me.” She is a self-published author. I enjoy swimming and traveling on my free time.
